1. Qualifications

Qualification criteria:

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a React developer role (excluding intern and volunteer experience).
  • A bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Proficient in React with a solid understanding of frontend development principles.
  • Hands-on experience with frontend technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a results-oriented mindset.

2. Skill Validation

This qualification assessment tests front-end development and React fundamentals knowledge. It comprises Q&A and code challenges that evaluate the candidate's theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills.

A technologist is approved in this test if all challenge level cut-off scores at met.

React Fundamentals

This challenge tests familiarity with React and should be suitable for mid-to-senior candidates. Most questions are derived from the React docs and some inspired by frequent React interview questions.

React Testing Library

This challenge tests knowledge of React Testing Library and associated best practices. Question difficulty ranges from basic to intermediate, so the challenge should be suitable for any experienced engineer. Most of the questions are pulled from the official RTL docs and Kent Dodds' blog.

React Code Challenge

This challenge involves searching a parsed data structure and rendering results, common tasks in most web apps. Technologists will use fundamental array and string methods, manipulate objects, and handle multiple input forms. Care should be taken to promote scalable design and DRY code.

3. Technical Interview

This assessment evaluates the expertise in Data Analysis through a real-time challenge. It's designed to be used as an interactive session with the technical screener.

During the assessment, technologists will tackle a hands-on problem tailored real-world scenario in SQL query development. Their solution will be first verified by a battery of automated test cases to ensure it meets the functional requirements as well as industry standards. Then, our experienced interviewers step in to assess the overall efficiency of the technologist's solution.

    • This is an intermediate-to-advanced-level problem that tests skills in data analysis using a programmatic approach. The task is to load files in CSV format, and process the data using Pandas dataframes.

    • This is an intermediate-to-advanced-level problem that tests skills in data analysis using relational databases. The task is to process the data using SQL.
