1. Qualifications

Qualification criteria:

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a Cloud Engineer role (excluding intern and volunteer experience).
  • A bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and best practices, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud services.
  • Proficiency in working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including knowledge of their core services and capabilities.

2. Skill Validation

This qualification assessment tests the candidate's knowledge of the Cloud Engineering. It's composed of Q&A and practical challenges that evaluate the candidate theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills. Each challenge focuses on a subject area and covers concepts, features, and real-world situations.

A candidate is approved in this test if all challenge level cut-off scores at met.

Cloud Architecture

Evaluates the candidate's knowledge of Cloud computing concepts and applications. The questions were designed as platform-agnostic and are applicable for any Cloud provider. It covers scalability, reliability, fault-tolerance, security, and cloud adoption.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

Evaluates the candidate's knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). It touches upon GitHub, Jenkins, AWS and Docker, among other tools and concepts in the DevOps ecosystem.

Networking for Cloud

Tests fundamental candidate knowledge of the OSI model and other foundational networking concepts. Questions are based on Cisco's CCNA: Introduction to Networking (ITN) course and summary articles from Wikipedia articles on relevant concepts.

3. Technical Interview

This assessment evaluates the candidate's expertise in Cloud Engineering through a real-time challenge. It's designed to be used as an interactive session with the technical screener.

During the assessment, candidates will tackle a hands-on problem tailored to the core principles of Cloud Computing. Their solution will be verified by our experienced interviewers step in to assess the overall efficiency of the candidate's solution.
