Meet Rose; this is her story.
Rose is a Mobile Engineer, artist, and tech mentor, based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Rose began her technology journey as a student in an Andela tech bootcamp, where she first learned to code with Python. The two-week training program brought her into the Andela network, and she’s been working for Andela clients ever since as a Mobile Engineer, specializing in iOS.
A passionate artist, Rose uses textured art painting as a method to connect deeply with her audience and evoke real emotion. Rose draws her artistic inspiration from her environment, including nature, human interactions, and experiencing different cultural backgrounds.
As a mentor for Akira Chicks, Rose helps guide and train young female technologists starting their careers, fostering inclusivity for more women to join the technology space.
