Meet Tomas; this is his story.
Tomas is a Data Scientist, Political Scientist, and Statistician based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Curiosity has always been an important part of Tomas’ life. As a child, his grandfather, an Italian professor of Biology, inspired Tomas’ love for solving natural and scientific problems, while his father regularly shared his political and social knowledge with him.
Tomas studied Political Science at the University of Buenos Aires, later receiving both a master's degree in mathematical science, and a doctorate in statistics.
With a passion for statistics and predicting outcomes, Tomas began a career as a Political Scientist, forecasting Presidential elections in Argentina. After developing his knowledge of Machine Learning and Big Data, Tomas transferred these skills to a career in Data Science.
Since then, Tomas has worked on various projects including the development of evidence-based public policy solutions in Argentina and researching the potential of using Big Data and Machine Learning algorithms for healthcare services.
