Forecasting Success: TWC's Global Engineering Evolution

The Weather Company (TWC), a leader in global weather forecasting, faced intense market competition. They needed to expand their engineering team to incorporate advanced technologies like LLM, Gen AI, and supercomputers. ​

To manage the data flow of 100 billion requests per second and maintain industry-leading reliability, TWC required a robust, globally distributed engineering force. The initial project to rewrite TWC's app exceeded expectations so TWC hired over 100 Andelans to expand global coverage. ​

Engineering coverage across time zones grew over 400% from 3 to 15 countries. In addition, they expanded key roles including QA, ML, DevOps, data science, and more. ​
