Finding Answers: Benedicte Musabimana's Dev Journey

"When I was a kid, I always wanted to know how a computer or a mobile phone worked."Benedicte is a software engineer at Andela Kigali. Like many people, her first time on a computer was in junior high school. She was hooked from then on, and thanks to her school teacher, she learned there were other interesting things one could do with the machine - besides Microsoft Word and Excel. Her curiosity led her to major in Computer Science in university and set her on the path to becoming a software engineer today. But her journey wasn't an easy one."The journey was very difficult for me. Everything was very new for me because my background was not related to computers. But I knew that I was learning what I like, so I pushed harder to make it." She learned and worked at it until she got good at it.Benedicte is a React Js, Node Js & Express engineer. When asked what she liked most about being a software engineer, she said "It is always exciting to learn a new stack, and I get motivated after delivering a product and it is approved. I am also looking forward to working on projects that I know will change people's lives in a positive way."
