Big Data University, which launched last year, offers free courses about big data and databases. Each course is followedby a knowledge assessment, and if you pass it, you earn a certificate of achievement from IBM that you can show off at your next job interview. In January, two Andela developers joined IBM to build out the new Big Data University site and course management platform, and an additional two are on-boarding this month.Through the official partnership, Andela is helping IBM tap into tech communities across Africa to recruit future data scientists on the continent. The first step? Creating a customized landing page for users in Africa. For more on Big Data University, head over to the site. And let us know what you think!
