Google Africa Developer Scholarship 2020 is Live

Registration is now open for the Google Africa Developer Scholarship program supported by Grow with Google, Andela, and Pluralsight. Software engineers (and aspiring software engineers) looking to build competencies in Android, Google Cloud, and Mobile Web (MWS) are encouraged to apply to the program.The aim of this program is to continuously engage with aspiring and existing software engineers on these tracks and equip them with the requisite skills to get certified.In line with Google’s goal of training to 100,000 Africans, we have, over the last 3 years, executed 5 programs in partnership with Google, Udacity, and Pluralsight training a cumulative of 60,000+ learners across 54 Countries in Africa.Thanks to our enduring partnership with Google and Pluralsight via the Andela Learning Community, thousands of learners are developing skills and careers in software engineering. We shortlisted 33K+ learners in the 2019 program of whom +15K successfully completed the training.Andela supports the learners by engaging them in an interactive program approach that allows for the success of individuals that join. We do this by pairing learners with mentors (volunteers from the community) who support them throughout the program, holding online sessions (Calls with Experts, Unblocking sessions), and through physical meetups. In 2019, we held a cumulative total of 252 meetups across different locations in Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania. These meetups focused on in-person learner support by mentors and facilitators, course content recap, and equipping learners with other industry skills.This is your opportunity to kick start your journey in tech or further advance your knowledge and skills on Android, Google Cloud, and Mobile Web technologies.
