We partnered with Payoff, a financial wellness company that provides personal loans to pay off credit card debt, in June 2015 to help them accelerate their product roadmap.
Payoff CTO Joe Lindsay explains: “At the end of the day, our differentiation is our relationship with our customers, and Cent and Fiyin support the systems that support member experience.”

We partnered with Transfix, a mobile app and SaaS marketplace that matches independent truck drivers with interstate freight shipping customers, in May of 2016. Their first Andela Developer, Tams Sokari, has since grown into a technical team lead, overseeing a product team of five.
VP Engineering Chris Hazlett explains: “Our Andela team is automating the way we reach out to people and adding in features that make everything we do more efficient. It’s probably the most important thing we could be doing right now — without it we’d need to hire many more people to scale.”

Andela partnered with The Zebra, a comprehensive car insurance comparison site, in July of 2016 to improve their mobile user experience and migrate their systems to a microservices architecture.
From The Zebra CTO Meetesh Karia: “We are currently in the middle of the largest project we’ve undertaken as a business, and we have at least four Andela Developers heavily involved in that. There’s no way we would have been able to grow as aggressively or be as successful as we have been without them.”
From a developer standpoint, they’re extremely talented and hungry across the board. They want to prove that there is good talent in Africa and that they’re here for a reason. They’ve brought a lot of energy and excitement to the team.
