About the Session:
International Women’s Day celebrates female achievements and encourages society to take action for gender equality. This year’s theme is #BreakTheBias, and we’re marking the occasion with a very special webinar, featuring Alaina Percival, CEO of Women Who Code.
Women Who Code (WWCode), is an international nonprofit dedicated to inspiring and supporting women to excel in technology careers.
During this fireside chat, Alaina will discuss her career journey, offer advice on how to level the playing field, gain visibility, build a network, and pave the way for change. Alaina will also explain how she inspires and supports women in technology, and she’ll offer insights on how women can grow their tech careers, break implicit and explicit bias and come out ahead.

Alaina Percival is CEO and co-founder of Women Who Code. Under Alaina’s leadership, the organization has grown to serve 290,000 members in 134 countries. Alaina is an accomplished tech speaker, appearing at WSJ.d Live, CodeMotion Milan, Grace Hopper, Columbia University’s Social Enterprise, and more. Alaina has been published by Forbes, Huffington Post, and the Wall Street Journal.
Alaina holds a Master’s in Organizational Management and an MBA. She is also an Angel Investor, a Venture Partner at Valor Ventures, serves on the Board of ATLFamily meal, and teaches WomenLead in Tech at Georgia State University.
Alaina has two young sons, loves chocolate, and has been to more than 80 countries.
